Parlé Teen will be a free monthly magazine distributed throughout New York City and Jersey City high schools. It  will focus on educating teens and young adults on journalism and creative writing, things that quickly becoming a lost art in our school systems. Using urban entertainment we will get the teens interested in reading and hopefully participating in the project as well.
The Impact
Parlé Teen will be created by teens from high schools across the two states. Understanding that everyone isn’t a writer we also hope to show teens everything it takes to create, run, promote, and manage a business, so that they can realize that although they are teens, they have a voice too.
Parlé Teen, the magazine, is the first step in the creation of a nonprofit organization of the same name that teaches journalism, mentors the youth and provides educational enhancement.

ABout Us

Parlé Magazine is a bi-monthly urban entertainment print publication established in 2004, featuring some of the biggest names in urban literature, music and film. To date we’ve released 30 volumes (issues) of the publication.

Tyrese, Tyler Perry, T-Pain, Mario, Teri Woods, New Edition, Zane-the queen of erotica, Lil’ Wayne, Eric Jerome Dickey and Busta Rhymes are just some of the names and faces who we’ve featured in the publication over the last six plus  years.

Our slogan is ‘Not Your Average’, therefore every volume, we put together a publication unlike anything else in print and now online. Our cover stories aren’t the same generic stories as the other publications; our stories are real stories and not just transcribed interviews like the other guys.

Parlé Magazine is distributed throughout NYC at record stores, bookstores, colleges, laundry mats, barbershops, beauty salons, night-clubs and at events. Every issue we distribute 10,000 free copies.

Yung Nate - Raw Emotions, Raw Rap, Real Talk!

Every year around this time music lovers start to anticipate what will be the ill-est sound, dopest verse, and sexiest performer for the rest of the year.  So I’d like to officially announce my vote for the category of hottest new rapper to hit the scene. I know, it may seem a bit premature given that new artist pop up every day but New York born lyricist, Yung Nate has been steadily working behind the mic releasing several smash singles and penning future classics for other artists alike. With a down to earth and relatable swag as the forefront of his talented persona, underneath lies a strong ambition to express his love for music, being exactly who he is and sharing that with his fans.   Check out the dialogue below for more on his latest album Meant to Be Broken and his plans for changing the art of rapping as we know it
