Whether you live in an apartment, brownstone, suite, or house, Dondria, the up-and-coming Texan songstress could possibly be right next door to you. Beneath her pure and natural talent, "Phatfffat," as her friends call her, is a woman who loves to eat, (specifically Chipotle), and laugh. 25 Youtube videos of her covering songs exploded into 25,000 subscriptions to her page and over 1,000,000 views for her cover of Ciara's "Promise." Among many others, Jermaine Dupri took notice. At first, like many of us would, she didn't reply because she didn't believe it. After all, it is the internet. But after a month of deliberation she replied, and shortly after was signed to So So Def.

Written by Kyle Jarmon

Five years after Album II, Kem releases Intimacy: Album III. The twelve cut cd is full of songs that are bound to sell to R & B fans who enjoy good music that is both sophisticated and cool. Opening with "When I'm Lovin You," a jazzy and mellow quiet storm beginner, Kem delivers a superb track that is bound to hit urban radio. Kem has a way of making you take note of his range and this is especially evident on the first five songs on the cd. "Love Never Fails," which although sounds like a rework of his current single "Why Would You Stay," is a profound declaration of love that notes why Kem's first two albums have made him a known name in the R & B world.

Consig's Corner

I’m eating this sandwich, taking in the beauty that is Brooklyn on a summer afternoon.  As I’m eating this sandwich someone drives by my house blasting “BMF” through their speakers.  I’ve had mixed feelings about the rapper since he stepped on the scene four albums ago, but now more than ever I can’t help but wonder, just who the artist on the song is.  He says, “I think I’m Big Meech, Larry Hoover,” his name is really William Roberts.  You wouldn’t know it though as he has called himself everything but since he emerged in the Hip-Hop arena.  His moniker, “Rick Ross,” comes from the name of former Florida drug trafficker; “Freeway” Ricky Ross.  Am I the only one that’s been confused?
